Carl Brown officially became part of the Chillicothe Police Department Monday evening.

Prior to the Chillicothe City Council meeting, City Clerk Sharon Crabel administered the oath to him in Chillicothe City Council chambers in front of his family.

He was hired in mid-September and then went to the Police Training Institute for his schooling. He is currently a probationary patrolman.

Acting Police Chief Dan Adcock presented him with his certificate for completing his education at PTI.

Brown brings the force up to nine officers, including Adcock who is serving as acting chief.
