These are fast-changing times that we live in and changes are particularly happening in the news industry.

As a result, TimesNewspapers has chosen to convert the Chillicothe Times-Bulletin and its two other subscription newspapers to FREE distribution.

As of July 20, all households in Chillicothe and Dunlap receiving a carrier-delivered copy of either the Peoria Journal Star or the Peoria Shopper will receive a FREE home-delivered copy of the Chillicothe Times-Bulletin.

I want to assure you that the Chillicothe Times-Bulletin will maintain the quality hometown news coverage it now produces.

In light of this change, households currently subscribing to the Times-Bulletin, but not receiving either a Journal Star or Peoria Shopper, will no longer receive a home-delivered copy of the Chillicothe Times-Bulletin. However, FREE copies of the newspaper will be available at local retail outlets.

As a result of this change, more than five times as many total households in Chillicothe are going to be receiving the FREE, home-delivered Chillicothe Times-Bulletin.

Dunlap news will continue to be a part of this newspaper.

On several occasions we have been asked why Dunlap news has been added to the Chillicothe newspaper. Simply put, this newspaper needs to do “double duty.” We value our advertiser support in Chillicothe, but it is not enough to cover the expenses related to gathering the news, printing and delivering a Chillicothe newspaper. We need the support of advertisers who also want to reach Dunlap residents with their advertising message.

This is an exciting time in the news business and TimesNewspapers welcomes the opportunity to continue serving even more residents in Chillicothe and Dunlap.
