Chillicothe, Ill. -

The list of Chillicothe residents entertaining thoughts of politics continues to grow.

Three more residents picked up informational packets over the last week.

Former mayor Don White picked up a mayoral packet, joining current Mayor Gary Fyke, former mayor Troy Childers Sr. and Sandi Levell.

For the aldermen’s seats, Aaron Daum picked up information about the Ward 1 seat.

In Ward 4, Randy Amundson also joined the list of incumbent Judy Cantwell and Jeff Rushin.

Already picking up information for Ward 2 is Judy Gajdik and incumbent Chris Boyer for Ward 3.

There is one seat up for election in each of the wards, currently occupied by Carl Spencer, Childers, Boyer and Cantwell.

Also up for election are the positions of city clerk and city treasurer.

Included in the informational packets are petitions and economic interest statements.

To be listed on the ballot, candidates will file their petitions Dec. 8-15.

Anyone interested in running for the positions may pick up a packet at City Hall from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. until Dec. 15.

The consolidated primary election, if more than two candidates are running for an office, is Feb. 25. The consolidated election is April 7.
