A passenger in a traffic crash Friday that allegedly involved alcohol remained hospitalized Monday.
Shannon Kennington, 46, of 1413 Bayberry Court in Chillicothe, was listed in fair condition at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center in Peoria.
Kennington was in a vehicle driven by Amy M. Gerdes, 36, of 1113 S. Sturgeon Lane in Chillicothe. Gerdes allegedly was going the wrong way on Old Galena Road just south of its intersection with Truitt Road when the crash occurred at 11:47 p.m.
Miranda K. Moyer, 16, of 19807 N. Hampton Road, had just turned onto Old Galena Road from Truitt Road when the vehicle driven by Gerdes, traveling northbound in the southbound lane, collided head-on with her, according to an accident report from the Peoria County Sheriff’s Department.
Everyone in the crash was taken to Saint Francis, though only Kennington was still a patient there Monday.
Gerdes’ blood-alcohol content was 0.208 percent, according to the report.
She was ticketed on charges of driving under the influence of alcohol, driving in the wrong lane and improper lane usage.
