Jack Gerstner recently returned from Cedar Springs, Mich. Gerstner travels the country with his model train, an eighth-inch scale of a prototype, which children and adults alike can ride.

The train enthusiast enjoys getting together with friends and running his train on the tracks.

For his group’s summer meet, they gathered at a private train park in Michigan, encompassing 126 acres.

The outside loop of the tracks is 3 1/3 miles. In the inside, riders enjoy the ride through the woods and other terrain.
