RED CROSS BLOOD DRIVE is 12:30-6 p.m. Oct. 6 at First United Methodist Church, 1023 N. Sixth St. Bring ID so you are eligible to donate. For an appt., call Ernie LeMaster at 274-4108, or Helen Carroll at 274-4960.

SPIDER HILL features updated attractions each year that include the haunted house, “Massacre Mansion,” haunted walking trail through the woods, “Trail of Terror,” and hayrack ride, “Haunted Express.” Also features hot air balloon, child-friendly play area in pavilion with face painters, games and spook house for tots. Rock N Roll Halloween, a large masquerade party brought by Jay Goldberg, is Oct. 17-18 under the big top. Event is 7-11 p.m. every Fri and Sat night in October, plus Nov. 1, at Three Sisters Park.

CHILLI'S 14TH ANNUAL HOG WILD RIB CLASSIC & CHILI COOK-OFF & CHILLBILLY FISHIN TOURNEY is Oct. 3-5 at Cutright Park. Proceeds benefit Rescue 33.

CHICKEN FRY
is 4-7 p.m. Oct. 4 at VFW Post 4999 in Chillicothe. $8 per dinner. Carry out avail. Call 274-4999.

ST. MARK LUTHERAN CHURCH, Women of the ELCA, will host their annual chili supper and raffle from 4-7 p.m. Oct. 17 in the church basement, 822 W. Pine. Vegetable soup also avail. Featured hand-crafted raffle items include a wooden bench designed by Maryann See, a wreath by Miranda Judy, a fall cornucopia wall hanging, a whimsical turkey, wooden vase with fall arrangement and small hand-beaded purse. Raffle tickets are $1 each or six for $5. Tickets may be purchased by calling 274-2718, 274-4154 or 274-3680. Drawing is after the chili supper Oct. 17. All proceeds benefit various charities.
