The Illinois River can hardly be seen early this afternoon due to the fog.

Was it foggy enough out for you on Groundhog Day?

It seemed to take forever for the sun to come out and burn off the fog. Residents reported slick driving conditions on their way to work due to the frost and visibility was horrible.

How much more of this strange winter will we have?

The groundhogs may be a little fogged up too as they are giving conflicting reports.

Well, Punxsutawney Phil saw his shadow, which means we have six more weeks of winter.

Local groundhog Gertie, who lives at Wildlife Prairie Park, did not see her shadow, so according to the legend, we will have an early spring.

Aren’t we almost in that now?
