Homecoming activities this week

Sleepy heads: Junior Trace Miller, left, rests his head on senior Chelsy Stumbaugh’s shoulder Monday. The day was designated pajama day, and the duo each wore their red long johns. Tuesday was sweater day and today class color day. Thursday is theme day, and Friday is maroon and grey day. This year’s theme is “Across the Universe.”

Members of the 2008 Homecoming court at Illinois Valley Central High School are:

Freshmen — Hannah Johnson and Jake Innes

Wednesday
      6:30 p.m. — Class Competitions

Thursday
      7:30 a.m. — Adults are needed to help build bonfire. Meet at the high school, with trucks if possible, to help.
      6 p.m. — Skits followed by bonfire

Friday
      Early dismissal 1:20 p.m.
      3 p.m. — Parade on Second Street
      5:15 p.m. — Sophomore football game vs. Mendota
      7:30 p.m. — Varsity football game vs. Mendota

Saturday
      8-11 p.m. — Homecoming dance at IVC High School commons
