More bands were announced as additions to the Summer Camp lineup recently.
Jay Goldberg Events & Entertainment and Jam Productions Ltd. released the second round of artist announcements for the music festival for May 28-30 at Three Sisters Park.
This will be the 10th annual Summer Camp Music Festival and will feature more than 55 bands on five stages over the course of three days.
The festival also features a kid’s camp, an extensive representation of non-profit organizations, on-site camping, lots of unique arts and craft artisans, a variety of good food and plenty of ice cold beer.
The new artists include: STS9, Pretty Lights, Steel Pulse, Victor Wooten, Railroad Earth, The Hood Internet, ALO (Animal Liberation Orchestra), Hot Buttered Rum, Dumpstaphunk, My Dear Disco, That 1 Guy, Zach Deputy, The Macpodz, Papadosio, Steez, The Bridge, Dangermuffin, Heatbox, Waterstreet and Chicago Farmer.
Already announced were moe. and Umphrey’s McGee, both for three days, along with Gov't Mule, Yonder Mountain String Band, The Avett Brothers, Keller Williams, EOTO, Cornmeal, Family Groove Company, Backyard Tire Fire, Kinetix, The Ragbirds and Brainchild.

A limited number of tickets will be sold at this price. Tickets are also available now for Thursday Pre-Party passes, electric & primitive RV spots.
The Summer Camp 2010: On The Road Tour is kicking off this month and March as the tour will visit 14 cities around the country searching for the best bands each has to offer. At every stop along the tour some of the area's best will each play a set - and the audience will decide who gets to perform at the Summer Camp 2010 Music Festival.

Also getting music lovers involved, camp organizers are hosting a "Your Facebook, Your Festival" contest. Each week through early March the festival will be hosting a poll to see what bands you want to see at this year's festival. On the final week, each previous week's winners will go head to head and the biggest vote getter will get a slot at the Summer Camp 2010 Music Festival. Summer Camp began in 2001 at Three Sisters Park with more than 20 bands on two stages. The first year’s attendance was around 1,000 people. Since that first year, the Summer Camp Music Festival has grown to more than 10,000 attendees, hosting more than 50 bands on five stages over four days.
