Tyler Anderson, a 2006 graduate of Illinois Valley Central, was inducted into the IVC Hall of Fame Friday before the varsity boys basketball game.
"It's a great honor," Anderson said. "It means a lot to me because of all the experiences I had here. It brings back good memories. I didn't expect it, and it's been a great honor.
"I miss playing multiple sports here. When I played in college, it was all baseball all the time. It's a lot of fun to play on different teams and have a lot of different teammates. I miss my friends, the coaches and all the relationships I made here."
Anderson, who graduated from Bradley University, is attending Indiana University for his law degree.
"My favorite memory of my time here is a tie between getting to the state championship in basketball and playing at Carver Arena and winning the State championship in baseball," Andersons said. "Those are two great moments that I will never, ever forget and that meant a whole lot to me."
During his time at IVC, Anderson played on the 2006 State champion baseball team as a first baseman as well as the 2006 State-runner-up basketball team.
