Lynn A. Turner, 55, of Chillicothe, died Thursday, Dec. 20, 2012, at Proctor Hospital.
She was born Sept. 8, 195,7 in Peoria to Russell and Eleanor (Hall) Smith. They survive, along with her maternal grandmother, Agnes Hall.
Surviving are her four sons, Shannon (Jenny) Turner, Jeremy (Laura Hallmann) Turner, Dustin (Alexis VanMeter) Turner and Jesse (Nikki Wedekind) Turner; three brothers, Michael (Marci) Smith, David (Pam) Smith of Colorado and Stephen Smith; 15 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents and maternal grandfather.
She is a 1975 graduate of Illinois Valley Central High School.
Before moving to Hawaii, she was a respiratory therapist at St. Francis Hospital in Peoria. She last worked at Kapiolani Women's and Children's Hospital in Honolulu where she received recognition from the Hawaii Society for Respiratory Care. She recently moved back to Illinois to be close to her family.
She had been an EMT with Ambulance Rescue 33 for more than 20 years, wherein she served as Training Officer.
A memorial Mass will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Weber-Hurd Funeral Home in Chillicothe. The Rev. Keith Walder will officiate. Visitation will be two hours prior to the service time at the funeral home. Cremation has been accorded. Burial will be in the Chillicothe City Cemetery.
