Heritage Enterprises officially announced late Friday afternoon the development of Evergreen Place Assisted Living in Chillicothe.
Construction for Evergreen Place Assisted Living is set to begin in the third quarter of 2013 on 6 acres of land that adjacent to Heritage Health: Therapy & Senior Care located at 1028 Hillcrest Drive.
The community will include 73 apartments, of which 20 of those will be built as memory care studio apartments. Assistance for those residents with early stage dementia will be available in this designated area of the building.
Floor plans for the 53 traditional assisted living units will include a mix of studio, one-bedroom and two-bedroom apartments.
Each apartment will be appointed with a kitchenette, individually controlled heating and cooling, a bathroom with shower, and emergency nurse call system.
Spacious common areas will include a restaurant-style dining room, beauty salon, exercise room and sitting areas for socializing and entertainment.
Staff will be on duty 24 hours a day to provide supervision and assistance for residents.
Housekeeping will be provided to residents on a regular basis. Laundry services will be provided by staff or, if desired by residents, in self-service laundry rooms.
Three meals will also be provided for residents each day, and residents will also be able to prepare meals in their individual apartments.
Evergreen Place will be licensed as an assisted living facility under the requirements of the Illinois Department of Public Health.
It is estimated that Evergreen Place will create about 33 new jobs for the area.
In addition, the construction of Evergreen Place in close proximity to Heritage Health will conveniently provide various levels of health care needs to seniors on the same campus.
Horve Construction will oversee the construction process and the architectural services will be provided by Worn, Jerabek P.C. of Chicago.
Heritage Enterprises Inc. was founded in 1962 and is involved in a variety of residential and health care services for seniors including skilled and intermediate nursing care, sheltered care, respite care, therapy and institutional pharmacy, supportive living facilities, licensed assisted living and independent living.
