Rickie L. Ehle, 60, of Chillicothe, Ill., passed away Monday, Dec. 3, 2012, at OSF St. Francis Medical Center, surrounded by his loved ones.
Rickie was born April 6, 1952, in Peoria, Ill., to Henry and Nellie Roth Ehle. Rickie married Nina Vanderheinden on Oct. 20, 1973, in Peoria, Ill.
Surviving is his wife, Nina, of Chillicothe, Ill.; father, Henry of Eureka, Ill.; sons: Brian (Laura) Ehle of Chillicothe, Ill., and Andrew Ehle of Jacksonville, Ill.; granddaughter Claire Ehle of Chillicothe, Ill., sister Debra (Steve) Sebens of East Peoria, Ill., niece, Kimberly (Rob) Phillips of Eureka, Ill., great niece, Delaney Phillips and great nephew, Jackson Phillips both of Eureka, Ill.
Rickie was preceded in death by his mother, Nellie, in 2002.
Rickie worked as a machinist for Caterpillar at the Mossville plant for thirty years retiring in 2002. Most recently Rickie worked as a custodian at the South School in Chillicothe. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and U.A.W. Local 974.
Rickie enjoyed baseball and fishing, but his newest and best love was his granddaughter, Claire.
Services were at 10 a.m. Friday, Dec. 7, 2012, at Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel. Visitation was from 5-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Interment will be in Lutheran Cemetery.
