Joe E. Minter, 78, of Chillicothe died Wednesday, Dec. 5, 2012, at Bel-Wood Nursing Home.
Born Oct. 17, 1934, to Cecil Clyde and Verna Emmaline (Finch) Minter in Benton, Ky., he married Marcia J. Conver in Corinth, Miss., on Dec. 10, 1955. She survives.
Also surviving are three brothers, Elwood (Shirly), Bill and Glen (Gwen) Minter; three daughters, Tamara (Walt) Feeser, Sue Minter Furuhomen and Jo Lynn (Mark) Minter Carr. Also surviving are eight grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren and two great-granddaughters.
Preceding him in death were two brothers, two sisters and his son, Kyle L. Minter.
He worked for Caterpillar Inc. for 38 years and served in the U.S. Army from 1957 until 1959 and spent eight years in the Army Reserves.
Funeral services were Saturday at Weber-Hurd Funeral Home in Chillicothe. The Rev. Sammy Waller officiated. Visitation was prior to the service. Cremation were accorded.
