The Illinois Valley Central High School Theatre Department will present "The Stuck Pot" Nov. 15, 16, and 17 at 7:30 p.m. in the school auditorium.
The comedy centers on a "pot" collected by the students of the all-boy Jason School. The money is given, as consolation, to the boy who gets "stuck" with the worst girl at the annual dance with Worthington Women's Academy. When the girls find out, they plot hilarious revenge and a "stuck pot" of their own.
The dance takes on a crusade for Alice Ann who doesn't care about the boys but wants the pot. Played by Olivia White, Alice Ann is determined to turn herself into an unattractive disaster of a date for the Academy Dance.
"This is a funny show, and the kids are doing a great job," Bob Howell said. "I am fortunate to have a lot of new talent this year, along with some experienced actors."
