  • The Illinois Valley Central High School Theatre Department will present "The Stuck Pot" Nov. 15, 16, and 17 at 7:30 p.m. in the school auditorium.
The comedy centers on a "pot" collected by the students of the all-boy Jason School. The money is given, as consolation, to the boy who gets "stuck" with the worst girl at the annual dance with Worthington Women's Academy. When the girls find out, they plot hilarious revenge and a "stuck pot" of their own.
The dance takes on a crusade for Alice Ann who doesn't care about the boys but wants the pot. Played by Olivia White, Alice Ann is determined to turn herself into an unattractive disaster of a date for the Academy Dance.
"This is a funny show, and the kids are doing a great job," Bob Howell said. "I am fortunate to have a lot of new talent this year, along with some experienced actors."
The cast includes: Laura Hedden as Dean Louise Taggert; Katie Wolfe as Mrs. Grace Sedgewick; Ryan Greskoviak as Mr. Willard Sedgewick; Olivia White as Alice Ann Sedgewick; April Pitt as Mary Jane Thompkins; Katherine Heth as Gail Treat; Robyn Simpson as Kay Emerson; Meri Terpstra as Martha; Moriah Graden as Joan; Rhoni Keith as Julie; Sarah Noar as Ruth; Brianna Mudd as Eunice; Meagan Shane as Ida; Lexi Stutzman as Alberta; Erica Greskoviak as Ms. Amy Caldwell; Liz Willford as Ms. Lucille Coulter; Kyle Kerr as Dr. Jacoby; Connor Bogner as Edward Mott; Paul Iverson as Hubert Farrelly; Jerry Noar as Grant Weston; Ben Auge as Bill; Zach Lew as Bob and Sebrina Davis as Marilee. Backstage crew includes Carolyne Wilhelm, Victoria Schneider and Maddie Fennell.
Tickets are available at the door the nights of the performances and cost $5 for adults and $3 for students.
