Dunlap’s softball team started the week with a 7-6 loss to Eureka at home April 16.

Katie Welsh took the mound for the Eagles and was relieved by Rachel Klimko.

Gabby Akright led the Eagle offense with a homerun and going two-for-four from the plate.

Kiersten Perkinson batted two-for-three and Klimko went two-for-two.

Welsh, Akright, Klimko, Kelsie Burton and Devyn Slick each had one RBI.

The team then dropped a 5-0 game at East Peoria Aprl 17.

Klimko started on the mound for the Eagles.

The team beat Limestone Thursday, 3-2.

Klimko struck out five batters on her way to the win.

Burton went three-for-three with an RBI and Akright batted two-for-four with an RBI.

The team next plays at 4:30 p.m. Thursday at home against Morton.
