Chillicotheans have been making the news with love in the air.

Chillicotheans have been making the news with love in the air.

Here are a few highlights:

In case you missed it, there was a heartwarming story about Taylor Larson collecting teddy bears for children in the hospital. WEEK-25 did a piece about a River 97.3 doing a teddy bear drive for sick children.

Taylor collected 507 bears for the drive.

Heartwarming also could be found on the front page of the Peoria Journal Star the day after Valentine’s Day.

Becky and Martin Davis of Chillicothe were featured, enjoying a candlelight dinner in an O’Brien Field suite.

The story talked about who Becky envisioned playing at each of the different positions around the baseball diamond.

Personally, I loved all her choices and knew who they all were! Mark Grace — No. 1 in my book. I’ve kinda given up baseball after he was traded from the Cubs. Andre Dawson — Another one of my favorites.  We share the same birthday.

I could keep going, but I better not.

Not to be confused with Valentine’s Day, but some baseball players Chillicotheans love were in the news recently as well.

Chillicothean Adam Duvall (former Chillicothe Times-Bulletin sports reporter) caught up with Zach McAllister and Josh Parr for the Peoria Journal Star.

IVC strong: McAllister, Parr workout warriors

Chillicothe's McAllister ready for next step after MLB debut

Major League draftee, IVC grad Parr ready for another year

Both are working out in the off season to prepare for baseball season.

Z-Mac, who made his first Major League Baseball appear in July, will be trying to stay in the majors with the Cleveland Indians. Parr is playing for the minor leagues of the Arizona Diamondbacks.

Good luck to them both!
