The Peoria German American Society will host a motorcycle run and corn boil on Saturday at Hickory Grove Park.


The Peoria German American Society will host a motorcycle run and corn boil on Saturday at Hickory Grove Park.

The corn boil will go from 2-8 p.m., with dinner consisting of a pork chop sandwich, sweet corn, baked beans and cole slaw. The cost is a $7 donation per person.

Meanwhile, the motorcycle run registration will be at Last Chance Bar and Grill from 9-11 a.m. The run is $15 per person, and includes food.

The stops include Burnzees in Brimfield, Crossroads in Farmington and Go-T’s in Peoria, before ending at Hickory Grove Park.

Maps and the route will be provided at Last Chance Bar and Grill.

The event will also feature music, bags, archery, bocci ball, horseshoes, 50/50 and a children’s play area.

A portion of the proceeds will go to the Children’s Hospital of Illinois.

If the weather turns inclement, the rain date is Sunday.
