The Dunlap 10U Maroon baseball team took the consolation championship at the Mossville Tournament during the weekend of July 1.


The Dunlap 10U Maroon baseball team took the consolation championship at the Mossville Tournament during the weekend of July 1.

The team started off play against the Richwoods (Green) team, racking up 22 hits to easily win, 14-4.

The next game, against the KVL K-Hawks, would knock the Maroon’s into the consolation bracket. The team had only three hits, but had three errors to let the K-Hawks win, 4-0.

The team would have only three more errors in the tournament.

In the third game, Dunlap faced Richwoods (White), and turned the hitting back on. The team had 13 hits and managed to keep Richwoods hitless to win, 14-2.

Richwoods (Green) would face the Maroons again, with the result being closer. The team still had nine hits, but had two errors to win the game, 3-0.

In the consolation championship, Limestone proved to be no problem to the team. The Maroons had 19 hits, along with three Limestone errors, to shut them out, 17-0.

In the final three games, Dunlap gave up two hits.
