Former Illinois Valley Central wrestling coach Lou Pronga will be inducted into the Illinois Wrestling Coaches and Officials Association Hall of Fame.


Former Illinois Valley Central wrestling coach Lou Pronga will be inducted into the Illinois Wrestling Coaches and Officials Association Hall of Fame.

 

Pronga was announced to the crowd at the State tournament Saturday as one of the Hall of Fame’s 2011 induction class.

 

Pronga coached the Grey Ghosts from 1966-1988.

 

He finished his career at IVC with a record of 290-107-6 and an outstanding winning percentage of .727.

 

Pronga will be inducted into the Hall of Fame April 2 during the IWCOA Hall of Fame Induction and Lifetime Achievement Awards Banquet at Park Place in Countryside, near Chicago.

 

The public is invited to attend the dinner and ceremony.
