A Peoria woman was arrested July 9 after police found her in possession of 63 bags of heroin.

Lisa M. Willis, 42, of 301 E. Melbourne Ave., was arrested about noon near the intersection of Illinois Route 6 and State Street near Mossville and booked on charges of manufacturing and delivery of a controlled substance, driving with a suspended license and driving without valid insurance.

Police originally pulled Willis over for driving with a suspended license. When she exited her car, the officer saw a bag sticking out of her shirt.

When he asked what it was, she told him it was drugs.

The officer counted out the 63 small baggies, which weighed a combined 14 grams.
