CornFest 2010 will begin at 11 a.m. at Chillicothe Fire Station One, 217 W. Chestnut St., in City Park. Dinners are $7 each for adults and include all-you-can-eat sweet corn, a hot dog or chili dog, baked beans, potato chips, lemonade or iced tea. Meal cost for children six and under is $3 and $5 for seniors. One dollar off adult meal coupons can be found on the back cover of the garage sale guides. South Side Bank, Latta Realty, Galena Road Gravel and Commerce Bank are Gold Sponsors for CornFest and underwrite a portion of the cost of the meal.

Unique Twist balloons will be on hand from noon on, with free balloon creations for kids, courtesy of South Side Bank. Vendors, authors and artisans will be set up in the park, as will tractors from the Three Sisters Park Antique Tractor Club.

Entertainment will be on the City Park stage beginning at 1 p.m. The events include the Diaper Derby for ages 1 and under at 1 p.m; Mr. Muscle competition for ages 1 through 8 at 1:15 p.m. Little Miss Swimsuit for ages 1 to 8 at 1:30 p.m.; at 1:45 p.m. the Shademakers/Beautification Committee will present the Catch the Beauty Awards; and the Princess 33 pageant for ages three through 12 will follow at 2 p.m. Registration will be accepted for all of the contests and pageants until the day of the event.
