The Illinois Valley Central High School boys’ track team finished second to Farmington Friday at the 30th annual Dunlap Eagle Relays.

Farmington finished only two points ahead of IVC, 99-97. There were seven boys’ teams entered in the meet.

“This was by far our best meet of the year,” said coach Mike Themas. “We placed two individuals in every field event except the pole vault.

“We came out of the field events in first place and kept the lead going into the final event, the 4x400. We placed in every running relay.

“In the final race, Farmington placed second and we placed fifth. I was pleased with the team’s effort. Chris Martin, Kyle Mooney and Ross Romane all had a very good meet.”
