Superintendent of Public Works Sid Crabel was honored last night at the Chillicothe City Council meeting.
Linda Daley, executive assistant to state Rep. Dave Leitch, presented Crabel with a proclamation. Mayor Gary Fyke also presented him with an engraved watch for his 31 years of service to the city. Leitch could not be in attendance himself as he is currently in Springfield.
An open house in Crabel's honor will be from 3 to 6 p.m. Thursday at the VFW post home on Santa Fe Avenue.
Arbor Day Celebration of "You, Me and Ecology" with Ronald McDonald is from 1-3 p.m. Sunday at the Chillicothe Public Library. Sponsored by city of Chillicothe, Shademakers/Beautification board and library. Flowers, Mother’s Day craft, refreshments, lots of free prizes. Bring the family. For more information, call 274-4556.
