Water was shut off at 10 p.m. Saturday while the company made critical repairs to its San Koty water treatment plant, according to officials.
Customers along Illinois Route 29 in Peoria, north from Gardner Lane to Rome West Road — including the areas of Rome, Pinewood Estates, Galena Knolls, and Woodland Heights, were affected.
Water quality tests have confirmed the water meets all U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, (EPA), Safe Drinking Water Act standards and regulations.
