Loretta F. Hayward, 93, died at 7:03 a.m. Saturday, March 22, 2008, at OSF Saint Clare Home in Peoria Heights.
Born June 28, 1914, in Peoria to Leo and Matilda Ritschel Noirot, she married Ralph Hayward Sept. 7, 1947, in Peoria. He died April 8, 1967 in Peoria.
She was also preceded in death by one son, Douglas Hayward, one brother and two sisters.
Surviving are two sons, Daniel (Peg) Hayward of Chillicothe and David (Rose) Hayward of London Mills; three daughters, Diane DeLong of Peoria Heights and Donna VanBruwaene and Darlene (Glenn) Kissinger, both of Chillicothe; 12 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
She worked at Sears as a locksmith. She was a past member of the Peoria Harmonettes and the high choir at Sacred Heart Church in Peoria.
She was of the Catholic faith.
Services were Tuesday at Cumerford-Hurd Funeral Home in Peoria, with visitation preceding. Cremation was accorded. Burial of ashes will be at St. Joseph Cemetery in West Peoria at a later date.
Memorials may be made to American Leukemia Association or a charity of the donor’s choice.
